Generator and Power Connections
We install the generator outputs, main power cables, busbars and power transmission connections of the three 3.34 MW generation units in accordance with the technical designs.
Electrical Installation and Commissioning
Located in Trabzon, Yıldızlı Hydroelectric Power Plant is a renewable energy facility with a total installed capacity of 10.02 MW, comprising three generation units with a capacity of 3.34 MW each.
The electrical installation and commissioning works performed by KTM Group encompass the technical activities required to bring the power plant reliably into operation, from generator connections and power distribution systems to cabling and automation infrastructure, protection testing, synchronisation and energisation procedures.
Scope of Services
We install Yıldızlı Hydroelectric Power Plant’s power, protection, control, measurement and automation systems in accordance with construction drawings and support the facility’s controlled transition to generation through on-site inspections and commissioning tests.
We install the generator outputs, main power cables, busbars and power transmission connections of the three 3.34 MW generation units in accordance with the technical designs.
We perform installation and connection checks for medium- and low-voltage panels, motor control centres, direct- and alternating-current auxiliary power supplies, and field distribution systems.
We install power, control, measurement and communication cables, along with cable trays, conduits and routing systems, with due consideration for safety, maintenance access and facility organisation.
We complete the connections for the protection relays, measurement circuits, interlocks, alarm systems and control functions required for the generation units and electrical equipment.
We integrate field instrumentation, data acquisition, communication and automation systems to enable the centralised monitoring and control of power plant equipment.
We prepare the systems for safe operation through electrical measurements, protection and functional tests, signal verification, unit synchronisation and energisation activities.
Commissioning Approach
Safely commissioning a hydroelectric power plant comprising three generation units requires the electrical systems of each unit to be verified individually and the integrated operation of all facility components to be tested.
At Yıldızlı Hydroelectric Power Plant, KTM Group manages the commissioning process through controlled stages, from installation completion checks and unit-specific functional tests to synchronisation activities and integrated facility trials. This approach supports the identification of potential technical non-conformities before generation begins and the reliable commissioning of the power plant.
