Case Study

A domestically developed pumping solution powered by water in Darıpınarı.

Developed to meet the irrigation needs of agricultural land at higher elevations in Darıpınarı, the system was implemented as a turbine-assisted pumping solution that uses the energy of flowing water to transport water to higher elevations.

Needs Assessment

The irrigation requirements of agricultural land situated above the Darıpınarı settlement and the region’s available water resources were evaluated.

System Design

Developed by Süleyman Tanrıverdi, the project was transformed into a technical solution based on a turbine system capable of pumping water using the force of its natural flow.

Manufacturing and Implementation

The turbine system was manufactured by JGRS using a domestic production approach and installed on site together with approximately 2,500 metres of steel pipeline.

Testing and Commissioning

Following testing, the system successfully pumped water to the elevated storage reservoir in the Üvürmük area without consuming external electricity.
