Hydroelectric Power Generation
Generation infrastructure that transforms the renewable energy potential of water into reliable and continuous electricity.
Explore Gök Energy's hydroelectric power generation and energy investment activities.
Renewable Energy
Founded in 1998 in the Tarsus district of Mersin, Gök Energy Electricity Generation Inc. operates with a focus on renewable energy investments and hydroelectric power generation. Following a change in its legal structure in 2007, the company became a joint-stock company and strengthened its corporate organisation within the energy sector.
Gök Energy considers developing projects that contribute to increasing Türkiye’s power generation capacity, using domestic and renewable resources efficiently, and reducing dependence on imported energy among its principal objectives.

Capabilities
Generation infrastructure that transforms the renewable energy potential of water into reliable and continuous electricity.
Controlled and efficient operation of power generation facilities through the coordination of electrical and mechanical disciplines.
Supporting generation continuity through regular inspection and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
An investment approach focused on the efficient use of domestic energy resources and the development of low-carbon power generation.
Generation Process
At the Gök Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant, the generation process is managed through coordination across technical disciplines, from controlling the water resource and carrying out mechanical and electrical conversion to system monitoring and transferring energy to the grid.
Water flow is directed in a controlled manner according to generation requirements and the facility’s operating conditions.
The kinetic energy of water is converted into mechanical energy through turbine systems.
The mechanical energy produced by the turbines is converted into electrical energy through generator systems.
The generated electricity undergoes technical checks before being transferred safely and reliably to the relevant grid system.
