Generator and Power Connections
We complete the generator outputs, power panels, busbars and power transmission connections of the three generation units in accordance with project specifications and technical requirements.
Electrical Installation and Commissioning
Located in Muğla, Gökyar Hydroelectric Power Plant is a renewable energy facility with a total installed capacity of 10.5 MW, comprising three generation units with a capacity of 3.5 MW each.
The electrical installation and commissioning works performed by KTM Group encompass the technical activities required to bring the power plant reliably into operation, from generator connections and power distribution systems to cabling and automation infrastructure, protection testing and energisation procedures.
Scope of Services
We install Gökyar Hydroelectric Power Plant’s generation, power transmission, protection, control and automation systems in accordance with construction drawings and support the facility’s transition to operation through on-site inspections and commissioning tests.
We complete the generator outputs, power panels, busbars and power transmission connections of the three generation units in accordance with project specifications and technical requirements.
We perform installation and connection checks for medium- and low-voltage distribution panels, motor control systems, auxiliary power supplies and field equipment.
We install power, control, measurement and communication cables, along with cable trays, conduits and routing systems, with due consideration for operational safety, maintenance access and facility organisation.
We complete the connections for protection relays, control circuits, measurement systems, interlocks and alarm functions to ensure the safe operation of generation units and electrical equipment.
We integrate field instrumentation, data acquisition, communication and automation systems to enable the centralised monitoring and control of power plant equipment.
We prepare the systems for safe operation through installation inspections, electrical measurements, functional tests, signal verification and unit-specific energisation activities.
Commissioning Approach
Safely commissioning a hydroelectric power plant comprising three generation units requires the electrical systems of each unit to be verified individually and the integrated operation of all facility components to be tested.
At Gökyar Hydroelectric Power Plant, KTM Group manages the process through controlled stages, from installation completion checks to cold and hot commissioning. Compatibility among the power, protection, control and automation systems is verified, enabling technical issues to be identified before energisation and supporting the power plant’s transition to reliable generation.
