On October 27, 2011, Gök Enerji submitted its application to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority to participate in the Renewable Energy Resources Support Mechanism, which supports electricity generation from renewable resources.
The application initiated the official process for evaluating Gök Enerji’s renewable electricity generation within the scope of YEKDEM. In accordance with the applicable legislation and conditions of the relevant implementation period, the mechanism aims to provide renewable energy facilities with a predictable support framework.
YEKDEM Process
An application mechanism supporting renewable energy generation
YEKDEM is a mechanism implemented to support electricity generation investments based on renewable resources such as hydropower, wind, solar, geothermal and biomass and to increase their contribution to the energy supply.
Renewable Energy Support
YEKDEM is a market mechanism that enables electricity generated from renewable energy resources to be evaluated under the conditions and support prices specified in the applicable legislation.
Predictable Revenue Structure
The mechanism contributes to investment revenue planning by enabling accepted generation facilities to benefit from support prices during the designated implementation period.
Domestic and Clean Resources
YEKDEM aims to increase the share of domestic and renewable resources such as hydropower, wind, solar, geothermal and biomass in electricity generation.
Regulatory Compliance
Applications are evaluated by EMRA based on the generation license, renewable resource eligibility, facility information and other conditions established for the relevant implementation period.
