Generator and Power Systems
We install the generator outputs, main power connections, busbars and energy transmission components of the three 13.3 MW generation units in accordance with technical designs and equipment requirements.
Electrical Installation and Commissioning
Located in Adana, Mentaş Hydroelectric Power Plant is a renewable energy facility with a total installed capacity of 39.9 MW, comprising three generation units with a capacity of 13.3 MW each.
The electrical installation and commissioning works performed by KTM Group encompass the technical activities required to bring the power plant reliably into operation, from generator outputs, power distribution and switchgear systems to protection and automation infrastructure, testing, synchronisation and energisation procedures.
Scope of Services
We install the power, protection, control, automation and energy transmission systems of Mentaş Hydroelectric Power Plant’s three generation units in accordance with construction drawings and ensure that the facility transitions to generation in a controlled and safe manner through comprehensive on-site testing.
We install the generator outputs, main power connections, busbars and energy transmission components of the three 13.3 MW generation units in accordance with technical designs and equipment requirements.
We perform the installation, connection and functional checks of medium- and low-voltage panels, auxiliary power supply systems, motor control centres and field distribution infrastructure.
We install power, control, measurement and communication cables, together with cable trays, conduits and routing systems, with due consideration for safety, maintenance access and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
We complete the connections for the protection relays, measurement circuits, interlocks, alarm systems and control functions required for generators, transformers and distribution systems.
We integrate field instrumentation, data acquisition, communication and power plant automation systems to enable the centralised monitoring and management of the generation units.
We prepare the systems for safe generation through electrical measurements, protection and functional tests, signal verification, unit synchronisation and energisation activities.
Commissioning Approach
Commissioning a hydroelectric power plant with a high installed capacity requires the electrical verification of each generation unit, testing of the protection systems and safe synchronisation of the facility with the grid.
At Mentaş Hydroelectric Power Plant, KTM Group manages the commissioning process through controlled stages, from installation completion checks and unit-specific functional tests to synchronisation activities and integrated facility trials. This approach supports the identification of technical non-conformities before generation begins and the reliable commissioning of the power plant.
